Easy Boursin Dip: Herb and Garlic Edition

My Easy Boursin Dip using the Shallot & Chive Boursin was one of the first dip recipes I shared, and to this day it’s one of my most loved recipes! I knew I had to recreate it using the classic ‘Herb n’ Garlic’ Boursin’, so here it is! This simple yet absolutely delicious dip basically just tastes like a bowl of Boursin, just more ‘dip like’! The perfect summer appy to share with your friends under the sun!

The Wine Pairing

Pair this beauty of a dip with a Rosé from Provence. This style of wine from the south of France is one of my go-to’s every summer. It’s light and refreshing, full of vibrant fruit flavours like strawberry, cherry, and peach, and has a hint of herbaceousness to it that makes it pair so well with fresh summer dishes. This pairing works so well for a few reasons:

  • Matching weight: Both the wine and the dip are light so neither overpowers the other.

  • Complimentary flavours: The fresh fruit flavours balance out the savoury flavours from the herb n’ garlic.

  • Contrasting textures: The wine’s fresh acidity cleanses the palate after each mouth coating bite.

  • Matching flavours: The hint of herbaceousness in the wine matches the herbal flavours in the dip.

  • And of course, they both scream SUMMER!

My Recommendation:

‘The Beach’ by Whispering Angel Rosé is a gorgeous, accessible wine that paired beautifully with this dip! It’s slightly creamier with a fuller body than a typical Provence Rosé and full of all the summery flavours that make this wine style so special. Click the link below to purchase!
